An amazing and interesting news for all the American Idol lovers is that the old is going to be new this year on this amazing singing competition. Jennifer Lopez is going to enter again in this year’s season as a judge. The great singing sensation Jennifer Lopez left the American idol after the 2011’s Season. Not only her but also another new judge Harry Connick along with Keith Urban will take the other two seats of judges. Randy Jackson who is the former judge of Fox singing competition will take the seat of Harry Connic and will be a “mentor” for the contestants this season. Keith Urban was a great and positive part of the show last year so it is expected that the viewers will love his presence in this Season too. And of course Ryan Seacrest who is considered as the heart and soul of the show is returning as the host.
The American idol will be on TV this January but its auditions have been started from yesterday. The auditions are now going in Boston. Other places that have been scheduled by Fox Entertainment include Austin, Atlanta, Omaha, San Francisco, Salt Lake City and Detroit.
The Chairman of Fox Entertainment, Mr. Kelvin Reilly said in a statement that American idol has always tried to discover the upcoming singing star and the judges of next season will bring a combination of personality, talent and wisdom.
Harry Connick also released his statement saying, “I have always been a huge fan of American Idol and really enjoyed my time as a mentor on the show. And I am honored that they’ve asked me to be a judge this season. As an entertainer, I am truly excited to bring my perspective to American Idol, and to help emerging performers find their way.” Therefore, it seems that the new American Idol will also win the hearts of its fans like old times.
